湘西凤凰农家菜 Hunan Home cooking special

从湖南回来,难忘的是木里完小的农家菜, 再加上扬師傅的菜式故事,印象尤深。 











Native gingseng 土人参 is actually carrots. The Mu Li carrot has a special flavor, tasting a bit like Chinese herbs. Ginger is often used to 'drive away the cold from our body'. Mu Li people seldom fall ill because they have these special soups to protect them from flu. 





The soy bean curd takes a few days to prepare. First, the soy beans will be boiled and turned to soy milk and then soy bean curd. The the curd will be fried the night before the day it is served. 








This dish 回窝肉expresses parents' wish for their children to come home.
